How to Survive Lion Country

I picked this trick up from Indonesian loggers.
(ya, I know, not great, but they’re just trying to feed their families)

The belief is that the big cat is less likely to attack because it believes you’re watching.
Big cats often attack prey from behind, since they’re so damn sneaky and quiet.

I imagine it still boils down to the temperament/experience of each cat, but it’s at least worth a try.
I think it’s worked so far, but I could be wrong.
